Here it is, the last week of the year! This is the time when we recognize our weaknesses as well as try improving them with new years resolutions. But it’s the same old song and dance every year. Lose weight, stay fit, save money, get organized, live life. Don’t get me wrong, its great to set goals for yourself, but if you’re failing at keeping them it’s probably because you’re doing it wrong.
Instead of making a long list of to-do’s in your life, think of more meaningful and valuable things you can add. Think of the life you deserve! What is standing between you and the life you envision? Let your mind wander and write down your answers. A written goal brings clarity and focus. Your goals don’t have to be big and scary. Just realize your dreams, write about it and think about it. Stay on the path and keep taking steps towards it. Eventually, it will become your life.
There are few things more empowering than the knowledge that we are living our lives in a way we find meaningful. So here is to having no new year’s resolutions, and only working towards our dreams!
