Happy National Mango Day! Oh, you didn’t know that was a thing? Me neither until yesterday when browsing through IG, isn’t that where you get your national days from? 😛 Mango season is upon us here in FL and I couldn’t be happier.
I grew up on mangoes so naturally, they bring up nostalgia of my joyful childhood, every summer. Now I get to pass that love for the sweet, magical fruit down to my own kids. I don’t believe I’ve met anyone who doesn’t like mangoes.
They’re so perfect in smoothies, and that’s exactly what I’m going to show you how to make; Kidz Shake Mango Smoothie Bowl. My boys love smoothies and they love mangoes so I combined them together and it was such a hit, I just had to share.
We’ve been using KidzShake for a couple of months now and we just love it. The kids don’t know how many vitamins and nutrients they’re getting, all they know is that it tastes like vanilla ice cream, and they get to be like mama and have their own “protein shake.” Best of all it’s organic protein, non GMO, gluten free, and sugar free. You can shop all their products here.
KidzShake Mango Smoothie Bowl Recipe:
1 Cup frozen mango pulp
2 frozen banana (cut in slices for easy blending)
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
2 scoops vanilla KidzShake powder
-Combine all these ingredients into blender and add more or less almond milk to get the consistency you want.
We went for more of an “ice cream” texture but you can add more of your base liquid to get a drinkable smoothie.
Top with lots of cut fresh fruit, nuts, chocolate, cookies, whatever works & voila! It’s the perfect healthy treat to cool off with this summer. Hope your babes love this recipe! Enjoy & Happy Weekend.
