Valentine’s day is this weekend and we need any excuse to eat all the sweets we can, right? So here’s a breakfast recipe that is SO delicious and you can make the morning of valentines for your loved one OR pretty much any other day too! BANANA FRITTERS. I mean, they are incredibly good and super easy to make. Surely, you already have all the ingredients in your kitchen. All you need now is 15 minutes to whip this up. Can you imagine being served breakfast in bed with these powdered fritters, fresh berries and hot coffee? Nothing better!


P.S. How adorable is it that some of the fritters came out heart shaped? That was total coincidence! πŸ™‚  Xo



  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tbs milk
  • 1 tbs margarine (or) butter, melted
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 3 tbs white sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Β½ tsp salt
  • ΒΌ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1 quart vegetable oil, for frying
  • Β½ cup confectioners sugar, for dusting


In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas. Mix in milk, eggs and butter until smooth. In a separate bowl, combine all the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Combine with the banana mix. 

Heat oil in a deep fryer or pan to 325 degrees F. Carefully place spoonfuls of the mixture using an ice cream scooper, into the hot oil and fry until brown. Flip the fritter once and continue to brown. Remove fritters from the oil and drain on paper towels. Dust the fritters with confectioners’ sugar and serve while warm.
