RUN FOR CHARITY

It is when you give of yourself that you truly give. -Khalil Gibran Did you know you can walk, run or bike to raise money for charity? There's actually an app for it! It's called Charity Miles. You wouldn't believe my excitement when I found out about this little app. Turns out, they are doing something pretty amazing. For every mile you walk, run or bike, Charity Miles makes a donation to a philanthropic cause of your choice. The phone…

Meiling & Mike

Happy autumn equinox! The season seems to almost immediately switch from summer to fall overnight. And who's to complain? Every summer feels hotter than the last, so it's nice to welcome that crisp air and soft breeze. I was honored to do this maternity session last week for my sweet friend, Meiling who I met in high school. She has a beautiful family, already a mother to charming Lenny, and is now expecting a baby girl this December. I wanted to share a…

Easy Basil Pesto Recipe

Hi there! I'm changing up my diet this week and going to add some quick and easy workouts to my day as well. Four months postpartum and think it's finally time I clean up my act. Don’t grow up yet

Summer is almost over and Roman's birthday is drawing near. I've got mixed feelings about this! On one hand, I'm happy to be celebrating that big day with my boy. On the other hand, I'm emotional that my first born is almost a two-year old! How does this happen so fast? One day they are drooling, babbling babies and the next you're planning for their second birthday. It's bittersweet, really. He's been quite the big kid these days, helping me around the…

My birth story

Wednesday. May 13, 2015 For an entire week leading up to this day I kept getting false labor signs. I was so anxious and excited for this baby to be born already. At 38.5 weeks I was already 4 cm dilated and 90% effaced but still no contractions. It's hard to wait for something you've been anticipating for 9 months. I was doing anything to naturally help move things along: walking around around the neighborhood (more like waddling though,) snacking on pineapples all…

A simple hello

A simple hello could lead into a million things.   Welcome to my little corner of the internet. This journey through motherhood has been an adventurous one. Every day there is a new experience and lessons to follow. I've been contemplating starting this blog for a long time and now finally decided to give it a go. It's where I will post a bit about my story through motherhood and all the things I love- family, photography, some DIY, nature and other inspirations. I look forward to…
